It’s a good idea to get your gas appliances regularly serviced.
Flame effect heaters (e.g. decorative heaters) and cabinet heaters should be serviced yearly. Some appliances may have specific maintenance requirements so check the instruction manual for the manufacturer’s recommendations.
If you’re installing a new gas appliance you should always hire a licensed gasfitter.
A licensed gasfitter will make sure it is connected correctly, flued and vented, working properly, and most importantly safe to use.
